CONFIGURING YOUR MAIL CLIENT

OUTLOOK 2003

Microsoft Outlook 2003:

  1. Open up your outlook
  2. Click on Tools
  3. Select E-mail accounts
  4. Select view or change existing accounts
  5. click next
  6. click on the change button
  7. change the incoming mail server (POP3) and the outgoing mail (SMTP) server to mail.yourdomain.com
  8. Fill out all the fields (User Name is the same as your full email address)

Now click on More Settings… and click on the Outgoing Server Tab and choose the following options.

Now click on Advanced and enter the following numbers… (NOTE: you might want to put a checkmark in the box ‘Leave a copy of messages on the server' in case you ever want to login to your email on the webmail version then you will still see all your emails)

Now click OK, Click Next, then click finish…..presto, you're done!

OUTLOOK EXPRESS


Click on Tools> Accounts>

On the Mail tab, select your account and then click Properties .

Go to the Servers tab.

Fill out the fields and also Select My server requires authentication , and then click Apply .

Go to the Advanced tab.

In the Server Port Numbers section, change Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 2525 , and then click OK .

(Optional) If you want to keep a copy of email messages stored on your email provider's servers, in the Delivery section, select Leave a copy of messages on server .

Your Outlook Express account is now set up. Click Close to close the Internet Accounts window and return to your Outlook Express.
